Advanced Management Program

The WHU Advanced Management Program (AMP) is a five-day transformational learning journey! Each session of this inspirational leadership program is designed to challenge you as a senior leader! It provides an exciting opportunity to gain new insights from renowned experts coming both from academia and the world of business practice. The diversity of participants gives you the opportunity to interact with peers beyond your own industry background and to boost your personal network.

As an AMP participant you will embark on a learning expedition that tracks a course from lessons learned as a CEO through corporate transformation concepts, right up to the traits that define inspirational leaders. Generating an in-depth insight into your own leadership personality and conflict-resolution competencies will spark a true personal (r)evolution! Participants will engage in tailored learning interventions, including interactive classroom sessions, case studies, group reflection sessions, and peer-to-peer coaching – enabling you to develop the tools you need to excel and rise to a top executive position. Our program design ensures that you will take away insights that you can implement on the very next working day.

Zu Beginn des fünftägigen Programms werden folgende auf Geschäftsführungsebene relevanten strategischen Themen aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln beleuchtet: die Unternehmenstransformation aus CEO-Sicht, Strategieansätze für Märkte mit disruptivem Wettbewerb und strategische Verhandlungsinstrumente, die bei Fusionen und Übernahmen (M&A) zum Einsatz kommen. Darüber hinaus erfahren Sie mehr zum Thema Stakeholder-Aktivismus und zu Corporate-Governance-Modellen im internationalen Vergleich. Nicht zuletzt erhalten Sie einen Einblick in die Datenanalyse und erörtern die Herausforderungen und Möglichkeiten der digitalen Transformation.

Die Teilnehmenden sind dazu eingeladen, ihre persönlichen strategischen Probleme im Programm anzusprechen und sich mit den anderen Teilnehmenden und Dozenten in einem vertraulichen und geschützten Umfeld darüber auszutauschen.

Der zweite Teil dieses Management Development Programs beschäftigt sich gezielt mit dem Thema „inspirierendes Führungsverhalten“. Auch hier werden die Herausforderungen im Führungsalltag aus verschiedenen Perspektiven und durch folgende Fragestellungen betrachtet: Welche Eigenschaften bringen inspirierende Führungskräfte mit? Wie kann ich meine Inspirationsfähigkeiten als Führungskraft erweitern? Was ist das Positive an Misserfolgen? Wie kann ich der Beschleunigungsfalle in Unternehmen entkommen und so verhindern, dass die Mitarbeitermotivation sinkt? Und schließlich: Welche Rolle spielen Emotionen beim Führungsverhalten und wie kann ich meine emotionale Intelligenz fördern?

Bei den Sessions zu Leadership werden Ihre Sichtweise auf Führungsverhalten und Ihr persönlicher Führungsstil mit unterschiedlichen methodischen Ansätzen wie interaktivem Unterricht, Peer-to-Peer-Feedback und Einzel- oder Gruppenreflexion hinterfragt.

This empowering five-day management development program will begin with a deep-dive into strategic issues relevant to board-level executives from a range of different angles: a view on corporate transformation from a CEO’s perspective, concepts for strategizing in markets with disruptive competition, and tools for strategic negotiations applied to mergers & acquisitions deals. In addition, you will gain insights into stakeholder activism and an international comparison of corporate governance models. Further, you will be provided with an executive insight into data analytics and discuss the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation.

Participants are encouraged to bring their individual strategic challenges into the classroom and discuss these with their peers and our program facilitators in a confidential and closed environment.

The second part of this exceptional learning journey will focus on inspirational leadership. Again, we will look at leadership challenges from different angles: What are the traits of an inspiring leader? How can I expand my inspirational leadership capabilities? What is the positive side of failure? How can I prevent organizations from falling into the acceleration trap and avoid a decrease in employee motivation? And finally, how do emotions interact with leadership and how can I boost my emotional intelligence?

Leadership classes are designed to challenge your view on leadership and your leadership style using a mixture of different methodological elements – interactive classroom sessions, peer-to-peer feedback, and individual and group reflections.

The WHU Advanced Management Program is an intense five-day program specifically designed for Executives who have recently made a transition to a senior management position or board-level position, or who are preparing to do so in the near future. Participants will have more than ten years of leadership experience. Identified by their organization as future leaders, these executives are seeking a transformative learning experience among peers.

This programs runs for 5 days at WHU campus Düsseldorf, Germany.

You will receive a WHU Certificate of Attendance after successfully completing the program.

Fees: €6,950 including tuition, session materials, case studies and most meals; excluding accommodation.
