Program content
The CIO Leadership Excellence Program provides a platform for senior professionals to enhance their capabilities to lead transformation in a digital and global business environment. It consists of two modules, which also can be booked separately – one in Düsseldorf, and one in a digitalization hotspot such as Silicon Valley/San Francisco or China. In the Basis Module in Düsseldorf , you will boost your leadership capabilities and enhance your entrepreneurial mindset. In the Abroad Module, we will embark on an experiential learning journey showcasing digital best practices. In both modules, you will broaden your professional network. An additional workshop day will provide you with exclusive insights into the German start-up scene. Enjoy being inspired by renowned faculty and experts from practice. This program is highly interactive and emphasizes peer coaching formats. Launched in 2012, the CIO Leadership Excellence Program has a tight and active network of program alumni who benefit from additional touchpoints provided by our collaboration partner IDG Business Media and DXC Technology.

Upon completion of each module, you will get a Certificate of Participation. Upon completion of both modules, you will get a “WHU Certificate in Leadership Excellence”.

Program format and module dates
The CIO Leadership Excellence Program consists of two modules, which can be booked as a bundle or separately. Each module is five days long. The base module in fall takes place at WHU Campus Düsseldorf. The overseas module in spring takes place in San Francisco.
