Eckhard Späth has been working at PwC for more than 20 years. He is Senior Partner in Advisory Transactions and Head of Valuation Services Europe, a certified auditor and CPA (US Certified Public Accountant) as well as a qualified German tax advisor and public accountant.
Before joining PwC in 1995, he studied Business Administration in Göttingen and San Diego CA/USA, where he completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA). After graduating, Eckhard Späth started work as an auditor at PwC. After several years in this field, his professional path led him to PwC in Paris for three years. On his return in 2000, Eckhard Späth switched to the Transaction Advice team, which he has headed up at the Munich office since 2009. In 2015 he became head of Valuation & Strategy in Germany. In addition to his specialist area, Eckhard Späth has been the Head of the Munich Office since July 2011. In this capacity, he is responsible for mid-market and family-owned companies in the region.
Eckhard Späth is a specialist in the fields of transactional advice and fairness opinion, company valuation, squeeze-outs; company mergers (purchase-price allocation), financial and commercial due diligence, recoverability testing for corporations and medium-sized enterprises, and consultancy for private equity clients. His sectoral expertise includes Automotive, Computer/Software, Energy, Industrial Products, Pharma and Chemicals, and Media.
