Nadine Kammerlander was appointed as full professor of family business at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in November 2015. Previously, she worked as assistant professor at the Center of Family Business at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Nadine Kammerlander holds a master degree in physics from the Technical University of Munich and a PhD in management from the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg. She has several years of working experience with McKinsey & Company and advised several international companies active in the semiconductor and automotive industry in their product development processes and strategy. Besides Switzerland and Germany, Nadine Kammerlander has worked resp. lived in Sweden, Italy, US, and Mexico.
Nadine Kammerlander is Associate Editor of Family Business Review and she serves on the editorial board of several international journals. She published her research in internationally renowned journals such as Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing and Journal of Product Innovation Management. Moreover, she received several national and international awards for her research and its applicability to practice, including Jürgen-Hauschildt Award for innovation management; Carolyn Dexter Award; Latsis Award; Hans-Löwel-Award; Family Firm Institute Best Unpublished Paper Award; Family Firm Best Dissertation Award; Academy of Management Distinguished Paper Award of the BPS division; IFERA Best Practice Contribution Award; Transeo Award for Best Paper on Business Transfer. Prof. Kammerlander is a member of the board of the association of non-executive board members in Germany (VARD e.V.) and she is also part of a commission reworking the governance codex for family businesses. Since 2018, Nadine Kammerlander has been part of the evaluation committee of the “Best of Consulting” Award, issued by the magazine Wirtschaftswoche.
