FAQ

Digital transformation is both a challenge and a strategic imperative for companies. The following principle applies: Only those companies that implement the right digital initiatives and internalize necessary skills, processes, and mindset to enable the digital transformation will be successful in the long term.

To successfully implement digital transformation strategies, it is necessary to combine digital and human skills and to leverage their combined skillset across the entire company. The basis of a successful transformation is the analysis of the digital status quo, before digital initiatives with clear responsibilities and deadlines are developed, prioritized, and implemented in a next step. At the same time, it is important to continuously measure the implementation progress and adjust digital initiatives if necessary. Finally, a clear and open communication with all stakeholders involved is key such that the successful implementation of digital initiatives may be achieved collectively.

Digital market leaders gain an insurmountable advantage over their competitors. With the help of cutting-edge technologies and data-driven insights, they may create personalized customer experiences and relationships. In addition, the use of latest technologies provides the basis for operational excellence and the development of innovative offerings, services, and business models - especially in times of increased uncertainty. Digital companies are also more attractive employers and thus the first choice for the best human talents of today and tomorrow.

Digital Transformation Managers are the in-house experts who drive the digital transformation. Their core task is to identify possible digitalization potentials in the company, to create the overall concept for the digital transformation and to plan underlying initiatives. Furthermore, they ensure their implementation via an open and permanent exchange with all stakeholders involved.

The challenges for a successful digital transformation are manifold - it is necessary to create structures and opportunities from which the company and its employees benefit equally. First, the digital status quo of the company must be determined and the skills and capacities of the employees necessary for the transformation must be identified. Once the groundwork has been done, existing structures should be broken up and digital initiatives established, which in turn leads to new organizational structures. For long-term (digital) success, it is also indispensable to constantly question and digitally renew oneself as a company.
