Prof. Dr. Ayse Karaevli is the Chair of Corporate Management & Change at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. She earned her Doctor of Business Administration from Boston University Questrom School of Business and completed postdoctoral studies at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
Prof. Karaevli’s research focuses on strategy, with an emphasis on strategic decision-making, strategic leadership, strategic transformations, CEO successions, and the dynamics of top management teams.
She has authored and co-authored numerous articles in prestigious international academic journals, as well as book chapters with leading publishers. Additionally, she actively contributes to top practitioner-oriented journals such as MIT Sloan Management Review.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Prof. Karaevli has taught courses on Strategic Management, Strategic Negotiations, Leading Strategic Change, and International Business Strategies at various academic levels.
Beyond academia, she served as a strategic change and innovation coordinator at Sabanci Holding, Turkey’s second-largest conglomerate, where she has also advised the CEO and top management team on corporate strategy. She has been an executive board member of the Turkish Industry & Business Association-Sabanci Forum. Over the years, she has provided consultancy and executive education services to leading corporations in the U.S. and worldwide, helping organizations navigate strategy, change, and leadership challenges.
