Dr. Gereon Schuch

Gereon Schuch has been Managing Director of the German Foundation Academy since 2018. Prior to that, he developed and implemented the ThinkLab of German Foundations at the Federal Association of German Foundations for over two years. From 2013 to 2016, the Eastern European historian, who holds a doctorate in educational history, was Deputy Director of the Policy Think Tank at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), where he had already headed the Robert Bosch Center for Central and Eastern Europe since 2004. From 1998 to 2002, Gereon Schuch worked at the University of Pécs in Hungary.
