In today´s increasingly complex (business) environment, executives are faced with the challenge to lead their employees successfully through change processes, while bringing certain values and social responsibility into the company as well. The necessary skills to master these challenges cannot be learnt only theoretically in a classroom.
In our Capability Program you will learn the necessary skills in a real-life project and you will grow beyond yourself when facing a true entrepreneurship challenge: supervised by our partner BOOKBRIDGE, you will establish a real-life and fully independent social business in an Asian emerging market, which will grant you 9 ECTS points at the same time.

Take advantage of this unique learning opportunity: experience true entrepreneurship
The Capability Program challenges you on different levels, as you will set up a real, sustainable business: a learning center in a rural region within an Asian emerging economy. Together with your team you will develop a business plan, arrange the financing and coordinate the resources. This will not only help you to further develop your skills as a manager and entrepreneur, but also give you the opportunity to reflect on your personality, your strengths as well as your weaknesses.
Take part in a true entrepreneurship program that adopts a 100% “learning by doing” approach: from the very first day, you will work in a virtual team with both participants and local partners in Asia. The challenge for you is to assess the true needs of the local community and to develop concepts for translating these requirements into a viable business model. When you return from the overseas site visit, you have six weeks to prepare the investor pitch. Financial investors will listen to your arguments for securing project finance and provide meaningful feedback on your strategy.
Two professional coaches from our partner BOOKBRIDGE will support you during this challenging project. They will guide you through this learning journey towards becoming a next-generation executive!
The structure of the Capability Program at a glance:
Over the first three days, you will get to know your team and start your learning journey as an entrepreneur. A business coach and a leadership coach will support you.
After six weeks, you will travel to the country in which you and your team will establish your social enterprise. Over the course of a complete design sprint – understanding the situation, defining the problem, brainstorming, prototyping and testing – you will develop an initial business model.
Six weeks later, you will pitch your vision and your business model to a real investor. If you are successful, you will then start planning the implementation. You will reflect on your learning success together with the leadership coach.
Experience the opening of your learning center online: In this virtual module, you will be part of the team’s decisions, successes and failures in setting up the learning center in the target country.
In the final module, you work with your coaches to evaluate the social, economic and environmental impacts of your business model. At the same time, you will transfer your learnings to your professional and personal environment.

Become a responsible leader who recognizes new business opportunities and quickly transforms ideas into practicable business models. As a true “entrepreneurial thinker”, you represent the next generation of managers with a good sense of responsible leadership.
This Social Entrepreneurship course will make you aware of the skills that are required in mid-sized and large companies, as well as the challenges that these companies face.
Moreover, the program gives you the tools you need to become a true intrapreneur (i.e. applied entrepreneurship within an existing organization) in your own company!
You will receive 9 ECTS credits after successfully completing the program and the exams. For ECTS credits to be granted, proof of a Bachelor or equivalent first degree is necessary. Please find the Certificate Regulations here.
